I have a problem with sending an HTML page via email. I made this page without any problems in QX 6 (pc version). Also the preview in Internet Explorer looks fine. After exporting it to HTML the page is still fine, but when sending it with Outlook to my email address, the page is a mess: no lay-out and hardly any text. Please help. ThankX! LisaMarie

Lisa - there is much more to sending html rather that just sending the file through email. Images and placed elements are not embedded in the html, but are actually refering to a location where they are stored. To send an complex html email, there is an entire process that needs to be followed. You can go to this link and get information for yourself. It is very simple - basically common sense.

Sheesh, monk, take your meds. You've made a few errors when reading posts yourself, as we all have, and I don't think anyone was this rude in pointing it out.

I for one am thrilled beyond belief to see two people from Quark Inc. posting to the forums today -- mistakes or no. We are all human... well, most of us.

P.S. Techincally, Macs are PCs -- "PC" is an initialism for "personal computer". The difference is really between Mac and Windows... if we want to get picky!

Linda if you wanna get picky then when we say PC we mean an IBM PC. the term PC first was used for windows based computers only. Mac users feel it insulting if you call their Mac... PC. I admit i have made mistakes while posting but have never posted wrong links...... and look who posted the wrong link ?

So what about Power PC. Isn't it a Mac.

loco when we say PowerPC we mean the processor not the entire assembly of the computer by assembly i mean all other hardware like the logic board and the hard disk drive etc. and the entire CPU which includes all is called Power Mac (either G3,G4,G5). But when we say PC it is definate we are talking about windows based machines.


Linux users normally say my Linux (ie name of distro) box.

eg my debian box

Macintosh users normally say my mac, or my G5 or my G4.


Only Windows users say my PC.

Thank you Shellie, The information you referred me to was quite useful. The option to use the Address box in Outlook to navigate to the webpage and then choose Actions | Send page by e-mail, seems to work.

BUT, in some way I cannot seem to manage to receive this email with the HTML page embedded in the message. The result so far was the link als the e-mail subject.

Any suggestions????

P.s. This is the first time I visit and post this forum, but what a hassle is made on a misunderstanding!
