I am trying to produce a quark doc that is generated by xml. I am not able to choose my tagging rule set when importing my dtd. It is greyed out, not an option. I can set up tagging rules but the style do not translate onto my page with the xml generated text. Can anyone help me out?[/b]

"Generated by XML" sounds like you want to import XML into XPress. You don't do that using tagging rules, which are for export of text using the aveneue XT. Rather, use the Placehlder palette, select your DTD there, then drag elements into your document to build a template of styled elements which you can then import XML into.
