What is the point of specifying a monitor profile in CMS setup? It seemed logical under older versions of Windows without system-wide monitor correction, but how does work in ColorSync workflow?
The monitor is corrected by its profile on a system level, so what exactly does specifying that profile do in Quark?
1. Does Quark ignore the sytem-wide monitor correction and correct colors with a specified monitor profile?
2. Does it incorrectly apply double correction (system corrects once, then Quark corrects in the same way again)?
3. If (2), should I specify instead of the monitor profile the same RGB color space profile as I use for internal RGB, to avoid extra color conversions?
Hoping to hear a reply from a Quark rep.
