    Hi there,

Are you using Windows or Mac? Do you have Acrobat Distiller, or are you using Export PDF from XPress? What version of XPress are you using?

    peace,
    Linda :)

I use PC at work and version 4.1. I normally go into Print to create pdf. Any help will be appreciated.

Sorry, I'm on a Mac... I've got the Creo Color XT and have not had any problems, but I have no idea if that is available for PCs.

    peace,
    Linda :)

If I remember correctly, Create Adobe PDF is a quick-n-dirty PDF maker batched with Microsoft Office. It doesn't allow you to control font embedding or color management and isn't a good solution for press-bound PDFs.

I think you need a full version of Acrobat for control over how spot colors are managed.

It's been awhile since I used Acrobat 5, but I believe the functionality that you're looking for has to do with the ppd used when you priint. Assuming that you're printing to the Distiller printer, try several different color printer ppds until you find one that gives the results that you want.

For what it's worth, Acrobat 6 is a significant upgrade; worth every penny in my opinion.
