[size=18]OK, this is very frustrating. I am trying to install the 7.2 updater and windows vista won't let me. I currently have 4.1 install, but can't open it. The 7.2 updater won't install and 7.0 won't install either. I have disabled the Norton, but this don't work either, can anyone assist me. I read something about transferring my license, how can I do that, if I can't even install. :lol: [/size]

I would suggest downloading the most recent version of QuarkXPress (7.31) and installing that. You can do that by downloading the evaluation version and using your existing 7.0 validation code when prompted. The eval version installer will install the full version if you provide a valid 7.0 Validation code. QuarkXPress 7.31 was fully certified by Microsoft for Windows Vista, so if that doesn't work, we will need to troubleshoot futher.  I bought quark Xpress 8 in hope to get a proffessional tool. But my Vista-Pc with 2 GB of RAM and a 2 GHz DualCore won´t let it run without halting. I see other programs wich have no scroll-problems. It seems, there is no possibility for a "soft-scrolling-working". I really got upset when see that its not a nice working. Quark seems much to heavy for my computer.

Also that Vista won´t allows me to get pictures via drag´n drop into my layout... I can´t understand this and this answer from "FAQ´s" to disable your UAC is not really a good answer. Other programs have no problems, but QuarkXpress? That makes no sense. 

What Kind of Windows or computer you need to make Xpress running "soft"?  I thougt of changing my main-layout-program.

With QuarkXPress 8.1.6 this is fixed now, drag and drop also work when using Admin accounts under Windows and having UAC turned on.
