Hi -

Hoefler Text and Hoefler Text Ornaments are not available in the font menu of Xpress 7, on a Mac running 10.4.9. I am helping someone else troubleshoot this, so I have not yet gotten onto their computer to clear up duplicates and font caches, but I'm wondering if there are any known issues with Hoefler that go beyong the standard troubleshooting steps that would help when I do sit down at their computer.

Please keep a posting of any troubleshooting for Hoefler Text Ornaments. I thought I was going crazy - when I called, Quark CS insisted that my system never had it installed, yet it worked fine in 6.5 but not the day I upgraded to 7. It does not appear in my Library fonts or in Font Book.

Another CS rep did admit that it was an issue and just said to keep checking back for downloading updates. I have to use 7 as fonts were severely messed up in 6.5 but work beautifully in 7. Think I should have learned InDesign.

The ornaments were in many of my documents and I would purchase it online but it's not yet available.

I'm so frustrated! When I open back up the 6.5 version it works fine.

It was so good to hear someone else is having problems too and it is not my system.

I'll let you know what I find out. It will probably be a week or two before I get onto the computer, but I'll keep you posted.

Hi - In case you are still following this - I finally got onto my friend's computer to clear up the Hoefler problem. I just cleared out duplicate copies of the font, and then we were able to access it through the Glyphs window in Quark 7.
