Replace Quark 7 Demo with Upgrade?

What is the most troublefree method to remove the 30-day demo and install my Upgrade. Do you simply delete it or is there more involved?

Don't want to risk anything going bad so i can't access any Quark 7 files. How do i determine how many days left I have on my demo?

    Thanks

    Hello,

You can simply remove the trial version application folder and install/upgrade to a regular v7.

To find out how many days are left on your trial version:

    1. Select the application in finder and right click
    2. Choose “Show Package Contents” from the context menu – the “QuarkXPress Passport.app” folder opens
    3. Double click the Contents folder within the “QuarkXPress Passport.app” folder
    4. Double click the Resources folder within the “Contents” folder
    5. Select “QuarkXPress.rsrc” file and Get Info (CMD + I)
    6. Observe the Modified date in the “QuarkXPress.rsrc Info” dialog – this is the date of Installation.

The trial version is valid for 30 days after date of installation. So the number of days remaining can be calculated.

     HI Thomas

Just wondering if you know the procees of determining the number of trial days remaining in QuarkXpress 8. I am working with Windows XP.

After reading some of the threads, I may be in danger of losing Quark files. at the end of the trial period. I need to be prepared for that eventuality. Many thanks in advance.
