Quark XPert Tools Pro vs QX-Tools Pro 7

    Hi,

Beyond features, is there a difference between the FREE Quark XPert Tools Pro XTensions for QuarkXPress 7 and onOne software's QX-Tools Pro 7 for $160?

Is the Quark version a beta version?

Are they compatible with each other if both are installed?

They are separate and different sets of XTensions, although some of their functions are duplicated, so you would not be wise to have both versions of those XTensions loaded together. Obviously Quark's Xpert Tools Pro is provided free, but QX-Tools Pro is provided by a third-party developer, onOne Software, and a free 30-day demo version is available from their website for you to compare features.

XPert Tools Pro was once a third-party product as well. Quark purchased ALAP (the developer) and then made it part of the Quark offering.
