Strictly speaking, this isn't a Quark question, though the first part is usually carried out in Quark.
The question is this: what happened to that very useful calculator feature on the Mac whereby you type out a long addition calculation on your Quark page or whatever (eg: 20045+678+20202+71+etc=), cut 'n' paste it all into the Mac calculator and the calculator immediately whizzes through the figures and presents you with the answer?
The advantage of doing that, of course, is that you can check you've correctly inputted all the elements of the calculation before actually doing the calculation.
I've upgraded to OS 10.4.3, Tiger, and now the calculator (in Applications) seems to ignore the '+' and '=' (including those on the numeric keyboard) and merely shows your calculation figures strung out in one line - using my example above that would be 200456782020271etc
