Hi, all,
conference is still running, today the second day. Just a quick note from the road:
My
speaker session at the FlashForward Conference is just over and despite its early time (8:00 am) attendance was good.
The feedback was great too, the audience was amazed what you can do without having to code or use Adobe Flash, all out of QuarkXPress. Many designers seem to want to create SWF and struggle how.
My software demo showed:
1. Repurpose print layout as SWF in a HTML layout with navigation
2. Create a rich internet ad from scratch (spotlight)
3. Show how to make an object follow the mouse cursor (using an invisible SWF in HTML)
4. Create a video player, playing a video, inside a drag-able window
5. Create an interactive menu
6. Show how to collect information (like an email address) and send it to the server (with a pulsing button).
As the software presentation might be interesting for you too, we are currently thinking about putting it online, together with detailed step-by-step instructions (the latter which I still have to create, so it is going to take a while).
Anybody interested?
Best regards
Matthias
