    Quark Interactive Designer on Leopard

    Dear all,

the next version of Mac OS X, version 10.5 (codenamed Leopard), is almost shipping.

During our testing we have noticed that Quark Interactive Designer 1.0 and 1.01 unfortunately do not export under MacOS X 10.5. Everything else – such as authoring and previewing – works as expected.

As exporting is such a key component of Interactive Designer, we recommend that you wait with upgrading to Mac OS X 10.5 if you use Quark Interactive Designer or at least keep an older installation as boot option.

We apologize for the inconvenience caused and are working full steam to resolve the issue as soon as possible.

Once we have a solution I will let you know immediately, I expect this to happen within the next 90 days.

    Best regards
    Matthias

    Hi, all,

please note that at MacWorldExpo we are releasing Quark Interactive Designer 1.02.

The free update for all users of Interactive Designer makes it compatible with Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard).

As this update does not contain any new features, it is available for Mac only. Please remember to update to QuarkXPress 7.31, if you are using Leopard.

If you are on Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) you can also install the 1.02 update, but you don't need to.

As Interactive Designer 1.01 supported under Windows XP and Windows Vista, you can enjoy the same features using 1.01 if you are a Windows user. Please remember to update to at least QuarkXPress 7.3, if you are using Windows Vista.

    You can find 1.02 here:

Re: Quark Interactive Designer on Leopard

Hello Matthias: I just updated to OS X 10.5 (Leopard) and now QID doesn't function right. But your links for updating to QID 1.02 no longer work; I've searched the site and can't seem to find it. I'm currently on QuarkXpress 7.2 Yes, I tend to be a late-bloomer, er, late-updater. Thanks in advance!
