Unwanted:Hi,
I currently am unable to connect again to the forums. I just created a new fake account to reply here but my former Unser name and Password just don't get through.
Please can you tell what's up?

Ahhh! Finally my request to filter people form Belgium has at last been implemented!
All kiddy aside, I can see why Quark deciede to go for a proprietary solution. I had the same debate with the powers that be here.
- What does "Open Source" means?
- Does that mean we will be more prone to attacks by 3rd party individuals?
- I mean if everybody has access to the source code...
We have to remember the fiasco we had not so long ago with the sapm and everything. Ibet they do not want to have it happen again.
That said, I anm not saying theyr were right or wrong about their choice. It's just a case of having faith in your software and apparently they decided that "FREE" could not mean "GOOD" (Well that policy has been implemented at Quark a long time ago,,, Well by the SALES department anyhow)
Of course proprietary software means the source code is not vailable to the masses but it laso means a more limited pool of people able to fix it if it does get broken into. I mean most OSes are proprietary and they have ALL been hacked into. The software vendor simply try to keep up with the fixes as mainpower allows.
Open source on the other hand. does offer hackers-to-be with an easier way to hack into your system but the good (people) far exceed the bad.
Whish is better? TomAHto, TomEhto...
