Opening ver 7 docs in ver 6

Hi, Is it possible to convert a version 7 document into a version 6 document ? I was using a demo of 7.3 and I have now purchased version 6.5, but my new copy won't open version 7.3 documents. The trial period has run out so it is not possible to save as version 6, because I can not use version 7 anymore. Any ideas? Dan

You can't use 6 to open a 7 file. You would have to open it in 7 and export it as 6.

Try Crashhelp@quark.com. They salvaged a file I'd created in Quark 7 beta and saved it as Quark6 for me.

    PowerMac G5, 2.7DP, 8Gb RAM; OSX 10.4.11 and 10.5.8 (on separate drives). (Also a PowerMac 7300 that's still running Quark 4.1 on OS 8.6 ...)

Send me the file, and I can export to 6 for you if you wish.

10 meg limit on e-mail, though. If it is larger than 10 megs, ftp to me if you can.

You can buy Markztools for Quark 6.5 for $200 and "convert" the v7 files. They will open in 6.5. I bought this software specifically to recover a corrupt document and discovered this accidentally.
