Glenn McDowall:is it a juicy worm?
It is a truly amazing worm. Worm on steroids.
As I said elsewhere, my copy of QXP7.31, with printed User Guide & What's New manuals and upgrade disks included, weighed in at an impressive 1.6 Kilos but my new boxed copy QuarkXPress 8 with all enclosures included weighs just under 200 grams.
The QXP7 box is 4 inches thick and the QXP8 box is only about 1.5 inches thick. Its small and lighter ...
However....
The question every Quark user wants answered is how will it compare to QuarkXPress 7.31 and QuarkXPress 6.5. at performing routine tasks.
Well: It is one FAST worm and my suspicions after using it for a week are confirmed. It just feels a whole lot "snappier" and responsive than QXP7.31. I think you are going to be delighted.

This new version of QXP really is the feline's fundament, to coin a phrase and I am absolutely delighted with it. !!! I have been in touch with the people at Markzware and have received assurances that any updates, if required, will be forthcoming to make sure that all of my favourite Markzware XTensions will play nicely with QXP8.
