    Undead posts?

Just curious Quark engineer people. I'm seeing posts marked as unread that I've read already (including my own). What's the deal?

Oh, Erik, that post was much less exciting than the subject header suggested!

Perhaps we should set up a special forum for Vampire Quark Users?

Sorry Emma. Embarrassed  I couldn't find an animated lamp post handy anywhere so I had to go with what I had.

Seriously though, I'm seeing this. I'll read a post, then come back occaisionally and the board has the post(s) I read marked as unread.

And why do all of my posts end with [Edit Tags]?

What the hell am I doing wrong?

Ira. If you're doing something wrong, so am I. I have the same [Edit Tags] thing as you do.

Did someone just fix something? I see they're gone.

Yep, read posts/threads showing as unread, very annoying.

To those experiencing the issue ... what browser are you using?  I do not see the issue described using FF or IE on windows.

Do you experience this issue with FireFox or Safari?

Uhm...I'd have to go look as I don't really use those browsers, particularly Safari which I detest. I'll get back to you...

    Re: Undead posts?

My problem occurs when using Safari 1.3.2 in OS X 10.3.9 on a G4 Quicksilver 2002. Yeah, I know, that's our FTP server...I'll try it on my production machine.

OK, looks like my issue is from the old software versions. Seems to work properly in 10.4.11 with Safari 3.0.4.

*quits whining and goes back to work*

Matt, I've tried this on Firefox 2.0.0.16 for a few days and there doesn't seem to be any problems now. I guess maybe it was just the way Sea Monkey was handling things.

    Re: Undead posts?

Hey Matt. This is happening AGAIN! This time it's with Firefox 2. I'm getting tired of re-reading what should be old posts....

Also, the cache updating seems to be dog slow again. Time between posting and the forum reflection of a new posts seems to be exceeding 10 minutes or so.....
