Hi, all,
here's another QuarkXPress 8 Easter Egg.
Place a picture in a layout. How can you find out where the picture resides? Well, either by using Edit Original (and choose the containing folder) or by the Usage Dialog and look at the More Info area.
However in QuarkXPress 8 has another Easter Egg, that allows you to open the picture directly out of the usage Dialog.
How to find the picture directly out of Usage Dialog
1. Select the picture in your layout.
2. Open Picture Usage (picture is automatically selected).
3. Press the command (Apple) key, click on Show.
Restrictions
Works on Mac and Windows but only in QuarkXPress 8.
Enjoy!
Matthias
P.S.: Of course if you just want to pass the picture along, you could just drag it from your layout to the Desktop, which is a new feature of QuarkPress 8. This creates a copy.
