Cannot read a TIFF file with this format (#259,8). [68]

What the heck is this? This just started happenin when I tiff files in CS3. Never had this problem before. Is this a Photoshop problem or Quark? And what can I do to remedy this?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanx

    Hi,

It is because of the compression. [ZIP and JPEG]. Save it as TIF with NONE or LZW compression from Photoshop and import it in QuarkXPress.

    Thanks

I get this same error when trying to import PDFs into a Quark 6.52 doc.

    Hello Gavin,

You may not be able to import recent versions of PDF file due to the ZIP and JPEG Compression methods in QuarkXPress 6.5 (they can be imported in QuarkXPress 7.x and 8.x).

    Please try these steps:

    1. Save the PDF without any compression methods.

    2. Save the PDF to a lower version like 1.3 or 1.4 and import again. (You may save the PDF to a lower version from Acrobat Professional).
