    QuarkXPress 8 on G4 PowerPC

    The hardware requirement for XPress 8 as described on the Quark's web site is: G5 PowerPC processor or Intel processor (G4 minimum). Does it mean that the G4 must be an Intel processor? Did the «G4 minimum» can be applied to both processor?

    I hope what they meant was G4 is minimum requirement but a G5 or an Intel processor is recommended.

    Thanks AD, thats what I thought. After trying to install it on two G4, I had problem to enter the validation code. And anyway there is no G4 Intel, isn't it? But now I'm done and the app run fine.

    Hi

    I wondered if you had any tips as I am going to try and run 8 on my G4 mac running Tiger and am also confused as to the spec requirements. I just wondered how you got around verification code problem, when installing quark, would appreciate your advice, thanks

    Hi Misstee38, I have to admit that I did enter the bad serial number in the install process, that's why the validation code was invalid. So be sure to type the good one!
