Quark Forums

This is a new font that was supplied with Adobe CS3, so I wouldn't expect any problems, but although the font runs into Quark documents OK, often when I try and change the weight or adjust the leading, Quark freezes. This is not happening with any other font, just Hypatia. The font is fine in Illustrator, PhotoShop, InDesign etc.

I just wondered if  anyone else had come across the same problem and whether or not there was anything I could try to fix it. I really like the font!

I guess you are on v7; try turning off OpenType feature if you have those applied to text like standard ligature or contextual alternates

If you still face the crash/ freeze issue, even after turning of the applied Open Type features, try with disabling Auto Hyphentaion settings in H&J.

You could save the activity log (using Activity Monitor) when the freeze happens and post the same on the forum.
