Collect for output - rogue folders

When I collect for output (no matter what folder I collect to), I get several folders saved loose to the hard disk, each with 'chmod 740' at the end of their names - inside each is a copy of one of the files I've collected, which in itself is inside several folders that plot a virtual path from the top level of the OS right the way down to the location of the original file. Anyone else?

You might want to list your Quark version and OS. Could be similar to the invisible temp file issue that's connected to auto-backup, but that's just a guess.

Hey! I get the same thing! What are they and can I just delete them? My OS is 10.4.11 on Intel iMac and 7.3 version.

Those are the temporary files. I would suggest you to update to QuarkXPress 7.5 to resolve the issue.

You can download the QuarkXPress 7.5 updater from the link mentioned above by "migman"

    Regards
