Disable thumbnails in page navigation popup

QX8. The little popup in the lower left corner. It's so slow as to be useless on long documents -- there needs to be a pref to disable thumbnails and just see blank pages, like it used to be. Actually, I just use Cmd-J, but as long as the popup is there, why not make it work the way it should?
