I have a document that's built 17x11. I need to resize my document to 12.5x9.5. I get an error that says "This page size would cause items on page 1 to be positioned off the pasteboard. I've tried cropping the elements down, deleting all of the elements with No Luck. It still refuses to resize the document.

Check your master page. There's probably an element on the pasteboard. If you delete this then you should be OK.

I tried that and it doesn't work.

This isn't much help, but I've had similar experiences in all versions of Quark. There's absolutely nothing on the pasteboard, your elements are all smaller than your desired layout size, and it STILL won't let you do it.

I think the only way I've found is to make a new document at the required size and copy and paste into it!

Here's what I do.

Select and group everything. Then proportionally size down to a much smaller size (the entire group). Change the pasteboard size. Size back up proportionally (the entire group). The ungroup. Rearrange my elements and then size as needed.
