Quark 8.1 runs CPU @ 100% on Leopard

    Quark 8.1 runs CPU @ 100% on Leopard

    When performing a two page (tabloid) cut and paste operation, the cpu utilization for the Quark 8.1 process is 100% and of course we get the spinning ball for 3-4 minutes.

     

    Can this be right? I would understanf 100% for 10 seconds but not 3 minutes.

     

    This is on a 2 x 2.8 Xeon Mac Pro. 6GB Ram.

    If it were possible to send that document + resources (fonts & pics) to Tech Support together with a timing and details of your set up, they could have a chance to verify and log this as a performance issue.
