I have been searching thru this forum for anything like this, but to no avail. Out of 16 machines, I have 2 iMacs (10.4.9) that are having problems with the bold, italic and bold italic of the Nimrod font (showing up as an omega sign). I've cleared the cache of both machines. They didn't have a problem with the font before I upgraded from 6.52 to 8.0. Anybody have the same problem, and if so, did you solve it?

Please update the version of QuarkXPress to 8.01 and then see the results.

You can download the updater from the quark website.

 Moreover,please check if you have full read and write permissions on the fonts folder. (HDD/Lib/Fonts)

Well, updated to 8.01, and now the program just locks up searching for the license (server). Never had a program act like this with an upgrade...and the fonts folder are full read/write. Now I am going to reinstall the original program and see if I can at least get it to open.

Reinstalled Quark 8, then I put the problems fonts in the user's home folder and they show up fine...guess it's a quick fix for now.
