Is XPert Tools compatible with Quark 8 yet?

Hi Justina,

XPert Tools Pro was designed to work for QuarkXPress 7.x.

However there are three XPert Tools which are installed by Default in QuarkXPress 8.x.

• Item Styles
• Item Find/Change
• Guides

Few more will be available with the coming updates.

This is one of the main reasons I haven't updated to 8 yet. Graeme

As Vikas mentioned we have three of the XPert Tools built into version 8. Some of the others have been outmoded by XPress itself (such as XPert Paste, XPert Layers, and XPert Align). I'm curious to hear feedback about the specific features you're using in XPert Tools. This will help us refine our plan for which ones we turn into out-of-the-box features of QuarkXPress. So please let me know exactly which of the XPert Tools you miss in version 8, and specifically how you use them.

That's why we haven't upgraded to 8 also. I use the XPert Tools Tool Bar daily, I also us Scale, Guides, Item Marks, & Align. I've used the Find & Change, but it doesn't work all the time. The Tool Bar is THE big one for me. Does Quark 8 have any of the items I've listed, or a comparable one? Justina

Unfortunately my demo copy of Quark 8 expired before I really got round to using it. However, another thing which isn't clear anywhere in the website is if Print Collection is compatible with 8. This is another important part of 7 for me. Quite a substantial amount of reference material on the website is vague on these points. Graeme
