    Quark 8.02 Update Bug

After upgrading my Mac Quark 8.01 to Quark 8.02, Quark crashes out and "Unexpectedly Quits" every time it is quit. Tried repairing permissions, running Disk First Aid, restarting, etc. Reproducable every time.

I'm running OSX 10.4.11 on Powermac G4 computer. Pleasehelp.

     Hello

I had a similar problem with 7.5 and 8 and 8.02 but I am not sure from your post where the crash actually occurs. I will tell you what I did and
maybe it will be of benefit to you. This came from the Quark Team. I am not that smart! Remove all but 15 colorsync profiles on your computer to the desktop.
Keep the forlder marked <<Recommended>> as I think that is put there by Quark upon installation of the application. I kept the profiles Adobe RGB 1988 and my monitor profile
USWebCoatedSWOP.icc and a few others that are a must have for me. Do this for all your Colorsync profile folders on your computer. Think there are 3 in OS 10.4x as Quark 7.5
and 8X seemed to count them all. Leave no more than 15 profiles total. Restart you Quark and see if it crashes. On my computer I could replace the profiles I put on my desktop
back into the profile folder and the Quark opens now every time. Possibly it needs to make the link connection to the Profiles foldeer only once. I am not sure about that but my Quark
open. To avoid having redundant colorsync profiles all over my computer I put all the profiles in System>Library>Colorsync> Profiles then made and allias for the the Profile folder
copied that to the other profile foldes on through out my computer. This seems to work for me. Let me know if it helps you.
    Best regards,
