Hello Quark
Is it possible to edit the keyboard shortcuts in Quark 7.5 and 8.2?
My problem is that when using the content tool and I want to enlarge or decrease my layout view using the <<Command and - >> key combination it puts a << - >> in the copy.
This is of course similar to they key commands in Photoshop and is very helpful and fast. However in Quark it is also related to the tool being used and that is not good as it
allows unwanted characters to appear in the text. Yes, I know that this will not happen when using the Item tool but when using the Command and a key combination the tool
selected should be on no importance. The command key modifier on a a mac should override the selected key funtion in all tools and it doesn't in the is case. Errors occur that are
time consuming to find and replace and costly when not found and printed! Is it possible for me to change this and other keyboard shortcut combinations. If not can you change this
in the next version of the Quark upgrade?
I am still waiting for Shadowcaster and Expert Tools for Quark 8. When will we see them. I had a need for the Expert Scale yesterday. In every version to date it is impossible to scale
multiple items by an exact procentage without Expert Tools Scale Xtenion. Drag scaling is not as pecise. Also Expert Character is far better more precise than Quark 8.
Shadowcaster was the best Xtension ever made for Quark. You bought the company and took away the Xtension. How rude!
Shadowcaster allows us to make layer tiffs directly in Photoshop for further manipualtion that can't and shouldn't be done in Quark. We can then bring back the file into our
Quark projects as a tiff image. it is quick and easy to use. It makes far better shadows than the terrible <<Drop Shadow>> command you have push upon us!
I have read that Quark 8 is more compatible with Photoshop then before. Sadly that is not true without using Shadowcaster in Quark 7.5. How difficult can it be to add the Xtension
you have already made for Quark 7.5 into Quark 8?
Best regards
