Long story short, my eMac (10.4 / Quark 6.5) died and they replaced it with a MacMini with 10.5 Leopard. Unfortunately, to save money in these hard times I'm having to use all my old software like Quark 6.5 and FontAgent Pro 3 on my new computer. Everything pretty much plays nice together except Quark. I'm just having such problems with fonts.
I will open a document with a lot of fonts and it says some are missing, although they're clearly activated in FontAgent Pro 3. And the next time I open the same document, different fonts are "missing." Grrr! They're NOT missing... they're RIGHT THERE!
I'm at my wit's end.... I know Quark 6.5 doesn't like Leopard but is this a FontAgent Pro problem or a Quark problem? If I absolutely have to upgrade something they're going to want to do it as cheaply as possible.
The question is, do I start by upgrading FontAgent Pro for $99 or do I just go for the $300 Quark upgrade? Would upgrading quark fix the font problems? And if I did have them upgrade me, my coworkers are all running Tiger with Quark 6.5. Would I be able to "save down" so they could open the same files as I?
Thanks.
