 Yep strange as it sounds, when importing an image into QX8 it is actually importing the coding of the image not the photo itself.

Only does it however when i've used the search function within the import window... if i select the required image straight from the menu then all works fine... however if i use th search function find the exact same image, it imports the coding as text only and not the image.

 Have tried it on a couple different machines AND on a few different documents... all do it.

Any ideas? Can't seem to find anything in this forum fo the quark service centre.

OH: Sorry should have also said...  on a MacBook running OSX 10.4.11

 That's pretty wierd. I get the same results. I guess you shouldn't use the search function until they fix it.

 I was able to replicate the issue at our end and this is new to us.

The issue is replicable on 10.4 however it is working fine on 10.5.

 Please try to test it on OS 10.5.
