    Todays new crash

     Hello to all
I am geting a crash every time try to change the colors of the grid and guides in the preferences when there is no project open>
I do this so that this preference will come up for every new project. I have trashed a the preferences and reinstalled the program twice with no change
in the crashing. Anyone else getting a crash from the settings in the preferences with no project open? I use a Mac G5 4 GB ram OS 10.4.11 and Quark 8.4.
    Best regards,

Try these steps, and let me know if you still face a problem using QuarkXPress:

    Restart your computer

Please check if you have a folder named “Preferences” at the following location:

    Mac HDD> Applications > QuarkXPress 8

If yes, please delete all the contents of this folder, and empty the trash.

    Now reopen QuarkXPress

If you do not see the aforesaid folder, create a new folder named “Preferences” at the following location:

    Mac HDD> Applications > QuarkXPress 8

    Relaunch QuarkXPress

Really ?   As far as I'm aware, the most up-to-date version of Quark anyone could have is 8.02

    @Tenth Letter:

Please note that this is an immediate solution, to test if your application preferences are damaged, and cause the crash.

If this does resolve the current problem, please close QuarkXPress.

    Navigate to the following location:

    Mac HDD> Applications > QuarkXPress 8

    Delete the folder named "Preferences"

Now navigate to the following location:

    Mac HDD> Users> Your Username> Library> Preferences>

    Delete the QuarkXPress 8 folder

    Empty the Trash

    Now relaunch QuarkXPress

If the same does not work, please pm me your contact details, so we may contact you to resolve your problem.
