QuarkCopyDesk 8 extensions cause QuarkXPress 8 to hang

We recently purchased QuarkXPress 8 and updated it to 8.02.  We also purchased the standalone version of QuarkCopyDesk 8 to go with it.  When we copy the CopyDesk extensions to the QuarkXPress extensions folder so that we can export to a .qcd file, QuarkXPress 8 will freeze up performing simple things (not even trying to export to a .qcd), and the CPU will show 100% for Quark.  We have to force quit in Activity monitor.  If we move the CopyDesk extensions out of the extension folder, QuarkXPress 8 works fine.  We are running OS 10.4.11.  We used the CopyDesk extensions (CopyDesk ver 3.5.8) successfully in QuarkXPress 6, and we really need to get them to work in 8.  Anyone have any suggestions?

Try to use QuarkXpress 8.0.1. We use QPS 8 and I asked Enterprise Support if it works with 8.0.2. They said it doesn't and I should reinstall 8.0.1. Since QPS also installs some of the QuarkCopyDesk XTensions, you could give it a try.

The software CD I received came with 8.0.2, and I don't see where I can download the older version from Quark.  I will try to put in a support request.

    Thank you for your advice.

After many chats to Quark, I finally was able to get a copy of 8.01.  It was a long process with several support people claiming they were going to upload it to a FTP site, and then e-mail me with a link.  I would never hear from them.  I finally got hold of someone there that followed through, but it still took them 5-6 hours to get it ready.

Before the download was ready, we ended up trying each CopyDesk extension individually.  There was some confusion between my users and I how many CopyDesk extensions there were.  We narrowed it down to the notes.xnt, and my users decided they could live without that extension, so we never even tried 8.01.

Thank you for your help.  I have 8.01 downloaded and burned on a CD just in case we find something else that is a problem.
