I have always been able to make the tab settings right in paragraph 1 (e.g. by pasting in a first character with the right tabs on it), then select down from there, go into tabs and click in the tabs bar. That applied the tabs from the first paragraph to the rest of the text.
In Quark 8, this doesn't work - it shows me all the tabs from the selected paragraphs rather than just the ones in the top one (I think).
I don't want to shift-alt-click as this picks up more characteristics than I want.
I don't want to do it via a style sheet as there are too many character style variations and I'd end up losing them.
Is there a simple alternative I've missed?
Thanks
Emma
