-39 error and locked files

    -39 error and locked files

    I am running QuarkXpress 7.3 on OSX 10.5.7 and have started getting these problems with a Quark document . I am getting “Unexpected end-of-file encountered (-39)” and also “save” become “save as” with one of these files and then when I try to open it it says “Project is locked. Changes cannot be saved”. i am not very happy with this! G

     This was an issue in the past. Try updating to 7.5.

    Thanks - I'll give that a go. I'd been avoiding 7.5 because I'm still hearing that it is buggy, but that might be a thing of the past. The other weird thing is that with certain files it creates a duplicate copy of the folder with the suspect files in my jobs list! G

     Yeah, it's the stationary pad thing with Leopard.I don't have Leopard, but I hear that 7.5 solves a few issues. I think these are two of them.
