Font feature I'd like to see.

Wouldn't it be great to have a "Hide" font feature in QuarkXpress? That way you could control the list of fonts that you're using in a layout. Before everyone starts to shout Suitcase!, try turning off your system fonts. I never use these in layouts..ever. If they could still be there, but hidden in Quark, man, that would be so nice! Is there an extension that already does this? Maybe the ability to hide or unhide fonts in a palette would be cool. Even putting the Font Replace from Utilities in the tool palette would be cool.

I agree. Because I use Quark for so much print work, I can't use half the fonts that it shows as available

I agree also. I would be happy if the fonts I am currently using would be placed at the top of the menu. This may be impossible as I have no programming knowledge.

Yes - that would be very helpful - and if Quark does it for Qk8, may we have it for Qk7.5 also, please?

    PowerMac G5, 2.7DP, 8Gb RAM; OSX 10.4.11 and 10.5.8 (on separate drives). (Also a PowerMac 7300 that's still running Quark 4.1 on OS 8.6 ...)

I would like to see this as well. I work on multiple jobs at once (since many are in the proofing cycle) and am unable to deactivate fonts. Plus, activating and deactivating fonts in Suitcase takes time when dealing with as many fonts as I do, especially when I work on so many projects a day. Having a palate of some sort would hasten this process. Quark does take some time to adjust to my font activation/deactivations when done so often, as well.

hmm, why not just put them in different layers?
