    Ditching Quark for InDesign

Spent 3 hours on online support as a simple upgrade from 7 to 8 does not work on OSX... strange that all other makes of software work.... Quark advisors tried to eventually make me dump my fonts... why should I?! Surely Quark being one of the best DTP packages should get their software correct. I believe there is too much security pumped into quark, with activation, online activation, validation codes etc, that its fallen behind in popularity... I am up and running as expert level with indesign, so will banish Quark as I will advise my fellow designers! Bye bye Quark, its been niceish knowing you... but I have found someone better!

     Here we go again! Smile

Steve! Can I have your copies of QuarkXPress?! Since you will no longer been needing them and they are now probably considered to be worthless to you you won't have ANY problems giving them to me completely FREE right?! Let me know!

BTW, enjoy the cruddy forums over there at Adobe!

P.S., you have to activate ID as well dude! Same process as XPress.

P.P.S. Did you ask around about problems, or even seek help here? I bet you'd find that most people aren't having issues. Oh well. Seems Adobe get's a lot of hot headed converts. Don't let us know when you have problems with ID. That's what the non-helpful, ego trashing Adobe forums are for!

    Bye!

Erik - enjoy your new copy of Quark. I know you've been waiting for this a long, long time!

Just spent a day building pages in InDesign. It's good. There are some great ideas Quark could learn from. But it ain't home.

Inferior Design Cruddy (polite) Suit 4?

No copy yet! Quark haters seem to be attached to their copies for some reason. Sadomasichism maybe?!
