Placing a PDF file in Quark document — HELP PLEASE

Hi, anybody out there who can help?

I did not upgrade anything and all of a sudden I'm NOT able to inmport a PDF file into Quark, getting this message "PDF FILE CANNOT BE IMPORTED BECAUSE SECURITY PERMISSIONS" doing this for years never had a problem, was able to make PDF yesterday, got a 64 page magazine ready and can't make PDF files for the printer!

Working with Quark 6.5 on OSX 10.4.8

    thanks!

It's pretty likely that your PDF Filter XT and the lib file (inside your XTensions folder) has gone corrupt. Try replacing them from your installer disk.

Some other possible reasons. QXP 6.x can only import Acro 5 PDFs (without transparency) or less. If the PDF's you are trying to import have transparency or are Acro 6 or higher you will get this error.

Sometimes this error happens after working in XPress for awhile. Quitting XPress and reloading the app may fix this.

    Hope something helps.
