    font non printing (fairly urgent)

I have a large book which I need to print a hard copy of tomorrow for a client. It refuses to print however! I localised the issue to one of the fonts used in the document and, thinking it may have been corrupted, bought a new font set from Linotype, installed it and hey presto–it will not print either! I am using v6.52 for this particular job, but as a matter of interest I opened v 8 and a sample of text using the recalcitrant font printed fine. Working in v8 is not an option as I do not have a sufficiently fast Mac and, even if it did, I do not have time to check the reflow on 650+ pages at this late stage in the process. Any experience of why the font will not print and solutions gratefully received. I think that I will probably be able to postscript the file and print the resultant pdf but would prefer to solve the non-printing issue also.

Did you clean out your font caches?

I have the charmingly named FontNuke which I used. FontExplorerX hangs indefinitely when cleaning out the cache. I did see a similar question posted here some time ago and tried the advice given by a Quark tech (recreate Quark preferences and delete apple.com.ats (or somesuch) but this did not solve the problem either.
