Hi - i work in 6.52 and my client works with version 8. They are sending me a file to reformat but when i try to open it still says its a multiple language doc. My client tells me that they are exporting from 8 to 7 then from 7 to 6 but when they do so the usual 'format' option where they have previously changed from multiple to single language is greyed out - this must be the problem. Does anyone know what they should be doing to get this to a sinlge language doc for me?
Are they getting any copy from Word in to this document? Word can sometimes carry forward garbage that will cause a standard document to all of a sudden become multi-language.

Hi - there are lots of word documents imported in but thats the same for all their quark files and all the word docs come from the same person and contain the same kind of info.
Could there be another reason?
Version 8 of QXP has a command in the Utilities menu to Convert Project Language, which converts all Style Sheets and Text Runs to the language chosen from the drop-down menu. Ask them to do that before exporting back to 7 (and 7 to 6).
