    urgent help needed

    I have Quarkexpress 6.5.........I have been making layouts for mag pages and the files are HUGE, I have seen other files from other people working for same client and their files are not anywhere near as big.......Is there something I am doing wrong, some click I can't see......I do see that their files when called up the images are more rastered and mine are flawless.....There must be something easy click that I can do...HELP...some files are 100 GB plus..

    Check the settings for Color and Gray Tiffs under Preferences/Application/Display. High numbers here mean larger files, I think, as well as sharper display on-screen.

    Think it may also depend what format the pics are that you have used. EPS, TIFF, JPEG or other. I can't remember which format it is but one of them gives you monster size Quark files.

    100GB really, ...gosh, you aren't by any chance placing HD video files.
    ... there was the puzzle of why the sun came out during the day, instead of at night when the light would come in useful.
