QuarkXPress crashes when I create a new file.

My company just bought a new computer for me - Intel Mac with Mac OS X 10.5.8, 2.66 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon processor and 6 GB RAM. I am working with Quark Express 7.3 with updates to version 7.5. After installing all my software on to my new workstation I tried to create a new file in QuarkXPress to begin working on a project. The new page appeared briefly after I clicked the OK button. Quark then promptly crashed. It does this no matter what size document I select and if automatic text box is turned on or off. It also crashes if I cancel out of the New Project box. I have searched for and installed all of the updates for Quark 7. Any suggestions as to what might be causing the problem and how to fix it?

    Thanks for the help.

Re: QuarkXPress crashes when I create a new file.

I found the solution to my problem. I moved all of my extension into the XTensions Disabled folder and restarted Quark. When I created a new project, Quark did not crash. So I tried restarting with just a few extension added at a time until Quark crashed again. The problem extension ended up being XPert PageSets.xnt (at the bottom of my extensions list, of course) from the XPert Tools collection. So if you have a similar problem, and are using XPert Tools, try removing the XPert PageSets.xnt extension from your XTensions folder.
