Help with Copying text from one file to another

    So here is my issue.
When I copy text from one document and paste it into another document it shifts the base line.

I did something to my prefrences or some thing cause it didn't do this yesterday.
When I copy over a price the dollars and cents(that is superscript) do not line up. They did in the oringal document.

Its like the type is centered in the box instead of alining to the top of the box. Like it should.

Please help. I already tryed deleting my prefrences and reinstalling and it still does it.

Deleting preferences would not "fix" a text box that is set to center it's content. That's something that would be stored in the document. Reinstalling simply replaces preferences (and other things), so again that would not "fix" this.

Select your box. Type CMD+M (CTRL+M on Windows). Go to the text tab. See if your alignment of text is centered. If it is, change it to Top.

Re: Help with Copying text from one file to another

Thank you for the responce. I looked into that setting and it is at the top.

So it has to be something else.
I have attached some pictures of what is happening.
The source image you can see all the text appears in the in its respective boxes.

But when I copy it into NEW document i get the the other picture.
The superscript is way off, the type shifts way down.

BTW its quark 7.01 and it was working fine up until yesterday when I had to switch users on the machine. (don't know if that would do anything)

Could have been a font issue. I worked on a document once and fast user switched to login to a different account. Logged out of that account and came back to my main account and ALL of my fonts went screwy. I had to restart to reset everything.
