I have clients in both camps and without getting into any fights, here is the situation I find myself in, I received what a client says is a Quark 8 file from a Windows desktop. The file doesn't have an extension, but does have a "_SF" at the end of it. I need to work on the file, and then provide a Mac friendly InDesign document to a third party designer. I've heard of the Markzware Q2ID, but before I shell out the $199, I want to make sure it'll open the windows quark file on a mac in InDesign. To me this sounds like a tall order. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!
