    Changing master pages

Is there a way of doing this.....?

I had a document of 12 pages. All were based on Master Page A. Things were changed and they all needed to be based on Master Page B.

But I couldn't find a way of changing all the pages in the layout to Master B without first manually deleting the elements which came from Master Page A.

If I overlaid the B page over the A page in the thumbnails, the A elements remained with the B elements also there as well.

It seems you can't replace one master page with another, it just adds to what is already there

    Hi, Kev,

have you experimented with the master page preference (in General)?

If you set "Master Page Items" to "Delete Changes", it should do what you want it to do.

    Thanks
    Matthias

Thanks for that Matthias, I wasn't aware of that option, but it's the answer I was looking for
