    Re: Hanging parenthesis

Well, in a straight Quark (non-scripting) situation, a simple decimal tab will do this for you (assuming you always have 2 decimal places). The parentheses and percents fall to the right of the numbers.

Why would you want to script this, or have I missed something?

Thanks for your reply Emma Consider the same position without decimal value. My expectation is whether it is parentheses “(1854)” or percents “154%” it should be hanged. If both appears like “(125)%” or “(125%)” the left most value of the character should be hanged. Thanks in advance

    Re: Hanging parenthesis

Look under your System Preferences -> Keyboard & Mouse -> Keyboard Shortcuts you should have a Screen Shots group where it shows you what shortcut has been assigned to different screen shot types.

The one you want here is : "Save picture of selected area as a file" (Sorry I changed my default seetings on this so I no longer can give you what it should be). Upon invoking this shortcut, you will be presented with a "crosshair" marker, simply selected the portion on your screen you want to show us.

Once your image file has been generated, you will need to make it available to the web somehow (either through a personal website or a web picture sharing utility) so that you can reference to it in this board (You cannot Copy/Paste an image in here).

    Re: Hanging parenthesis

Hi, I doesn’t have personal website. So Let I explain the thread in a simple way. Step 1. While we apply “Command + Shift + T” the quark will show the Paragraph Attribute window (Tab). Step 2. In the window it will ask for Tab position to be aligned i.e., Left, Right, etc., Step 3. If we click the “Align on” Option it will ask for align on character in a box. Step 4. For example (100) is the value. If we give parens “)” it will be hanged as well as for example 100% is the value. If we give Percent “%” it will be hanged. My criteria is whether it is “)” or “%” it should be Align on. If both appears like (100%) the left most character should be align on i.e., “%” in this case. I hope if you go through my post you will got the thread. Thanks in advance
