If you have heaps of Images which are modified and you need to update them so they become OK and you don't want to sit there all day clicking update and the ok button.

    Simply select the top image.

Scroll down to the bottom and while holding down the shift key select the bottom image.

Now simply click update then grab you coffee mug and rest it on the Enter button of your numeric keypad on your keyboard, and go do something else.

Tip: Make sure only the images marked modified are selected.
do not do it to images marked as missing.

If you don't have a coffee mug you could also do the following, which is a bit easy :::

Before you click on the update... button, press and keep down the ALT button, the update button will now show update (without the ...) This will update all the images without the need of pressing the Yes button.

This work for Quark Xpress 6.5, not sure if it works in earlier versions.

    A question related.

Is there a fast way to change the linkage of images in a document?

For instance, if I have a document that has all of its images linked to a file in my computer and I want to make them link to a file in a server, is there a quick way to do it?

I don't know of an automated way - but this is how we do it:
Usually all of the images are in a folder together - I make a folder inside that folder and name it "hide" - then move all of my images into that "hide" folder. Then relink the first image from your quark document to the folder that contains the images on your server and the rest of them should automatically link up to the server folder.

    Yeah, Just as Dazstar says.

On the mac you hold down <option> and then click update, you update without questions.

    Cheers
