Quark 6.1 will not launch........

    Quark 6.1 will not launch........

    Here is what the error message says:

    The application preferences file is damaged. Please remove it and relaunch QaurkXpress. [296]

    So, I looked in my Quark folder and can not find this file. Can someone give me some guidance......

    This happened after installing some updated for the MAC. Security, Quicktime, itunes.??????

    Hi lbz,

    The prefs folder is in User/Librairy/Preferences.

    And you should patch to 6.52.

    How did you fix this problem? I found my preferences and got rid of them, but still get the same error message. My problems began the same way yours did - installing Mac updates. Please help! I need to get back to work. thanks

    Just remove the Preferences folder from HDD>>Applications>>QuarkXPress 6.1 folder and then launch QuarkXPress and check the results
