A quick way of getting a Fallback Style is to create an empty text file, call it "XPressTheme.xml" and put it into your preference folder.

QuarkXPress will try to anaylze it and fall back to a gray style:

Bernhard is too smart and unfortunately found the nice trick I was going to post here an hour before I was going to do that. Personally I find the background of palettes in here too bright.

Someone knows what DisabledTextColor exactly means?

BTW: To get a better look in a faster way, copy an empty XML file into the preferences folder.

RGB values are the common screen/monitor values, If you change RGB over BGR in the XML file then the colours will come out 'rather strange'.

Why on earth are RGB values inverted? They come out as BGR in the xml file... results are not as expected at first trial. Rather strange.

Do you know what this would be a lot more fun if it was added as a bonus xtension at some point, so that you could access the colour scheme(S) within Quark enabeling the end user to configure to our/their liking with maybe 2-5 defalt colour schemes to choose from.

No, whatever is in the XML is all there is currently, but who knows, maybe there will be more in the future?

No arm in asking... I guess we will have to wait until next spring for the next "Easter Egg" crop!
