I know that Quark doesn't deal with PDF's very well. However, the principal is what I'm looking for. OK, even if I use EPS files, is there a way of automatically importing them into individual pages that you know of?

Is there a way to do this without buying an xtension? Thanks, Graeme

You can use the spellcheck. It will tell you that there's a capitalisation error and correct it for you. This can be worked through fairly quickly. Graeme

Unfortunately my demo copy of Quark 8 expired before I really got round to using it. However, another thing which isn't clear anywhere in the website is if Print Collection is compatible with 8. This is another important part of 7 for me. Quite a substantial amount of reference material on the website is vague on these points. Graeme

Another method is to use rules. Type out a line of text or just return a line and go to "Style - Rules" and then select "rule below". Check your master page. There's probably an element on the pasteboard. If you delete this then you should be OK.

I'm sure It's been well documented that there are issues when copying text elements from Quark 7.3 files into earlier versions. For example, I've copied over a text box with -20 tracking from 7.3 into a 7.1 file. The tracking becomes even more squished. Another text box with 110 tracking becomes longer causing it to overrun the text ...
