Change the style name first to "footnote text1" then edit again to "Footnote Text"

Locate option usually comes when chapter you are opening is missing. You can open the document directly and do a "save as" another file, this new file can be added to new book or existing. The missing chapter entry can also be removed later

You can update to 8.12 and check again. Thin space should not print a bullet, I guess there was a problem that might have got fixed.

Are you sure the hyphenation is incorrect? It is a desired behavior in some languages to change spelling of a word when hyphenating. And there isn't any way to change that without modifying language.
There is an option to change hyphenation methods if that helps. under Preferences > Paragraph > Swedish, change to Extended 2 or Enhanced. ...

Do you have passport version of 7.5? Document encoding is controlled via program language so make sure you switch the program language to Greek before opening the document.
In Quark 8 this setting is under Preferences > Open & Save > Non-unicode support.

We had a similar problem with one of our machine that had an Intel Graphics adapter other one with ATI display card worked fine. Upgrading the display drivers from Intel website fixed it. Automatic updates by Windows also doesn't seem to help.
