By font tool box, do you mean style sheets? If so, click on "Window" in the top menu bar, and select Style Sheets. Hope that's it !  Phil

 Albee, Although your client is getting that message, is he able to actually open the file and view it on screen? When I've occasionally had that message (usually a file copied from a CD), I've got round it by doing a "Save As", and gave the file a different name. Is that of any help? Phil

Glad you are (almost) sorted. Regarding the resource forks being busted off, it might help if you add .qxd to the old files before opening them in the latest version of Quark.   Phil  Edit: just beaten by Erik!  

My first thought is that one document is using "Quark XPress 7.0 default" settings, and the other is using "Quark XPress Emulate Legacy". A number of years ago an extension was developed by a third party for Quark called Pasteboard Extension. Unfortunately it had a bug in it. You need to look for Pasteboard Xterminator and put it into your Quark Extensions folder. Try Markzware. That should do the trick.  Hope that helps   Phil
